Riki

I've got a new home!

My name is Riki and I have a new family who love me.

From the previous chapter of my story...

Well hello and good day to you! My name is Riki and I’m a 4 year old member of the Tuxedo Titans.

Up until recently I was a stray who was surviving on the streets of Haverhill. Unlike many of my friends from “the hood” I seem to have been rather better at it. Or maybe I just hadn’t been on my own for that long. Who knows? It’s all rather a blur... Anyway, I don’t appear to have missed too many meals, because I’m not a dinky kitty. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not unhealthy, just…erm…well let’s say I’m “a bit of a unit”.

Chris, the Web Guy gave me my name. It’s short for "Rikishi" (力士) which is a Sumo Wrestler. He met some in Japan and they were big and really friendly, just like me. Certainly, when I sit on your lap, you do know about it. I like a fuss and a head scritch, and I have a purr that sounds like the roar of a crowd.

Since I’m not a kitty that likes to run about like a mad thing, I’d ideally like a relatively quiet home, with humans who know not to get too grabby. I’m probably ok with other sensible cats once we are introduced, and I think a doggo would be fine, provided neither fancies a lot of rough and tumble. I’ve long since retired from the basho!

If you have space in your home for a chilled out kitty, who just wants to give you love and affection accompanied by a background of happy purrs, I’m your boy. And I promise not to chuck my cat litter around like salt. Yes, that is a geeky reference. I have told Chris that.

I got another chance!

Not every cat is so lucky.

Could you be another cat's forever human?

If you think you might be able to offer a cat a forever home, please fill out the adoption form and one of the Friends of Felines team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you so much,

Lots of love and nose boops,

Riki
