Loki
I've got a new home!
From the previous chapter of my story...
Alright mortals? I'm Loki and I'm originally from Southend. Apparently, you’re supposed to pronounce it "Saarfend" but since English is my second language you'll have to forgive my lack of the local patois!
I'm a four year old, very handsome ("'aandsaam?") member of the Monochrome Wizards and up until recently I had a happy home which I ruled like the demi-god I am. Unfortunately, the senior gods didn't keep my human in their favour, and their health deteriorated to the point they couldn't look after me anymore. They were really upset, as they did worship me (and I, them to be honest, although don't tell anyone)! Still, they wanted to make I was safe and secure and able to get me some new acolytes, so they drove up the A12 to Friends of Felines.
Sorry about my grumpy expression in my photos - it was a long drive and I'd only been at the centre for literally ten minutes when Chris, the Web Guy shoved a camera in my face and I wasn't too happy about it. I was quite grumbly, but actually everyone has now realised that it's just a noise I make when I get attention or I'm eating - I'm not warning you off, as I do like a fuss. You can hear it in my videos. Chris says it's adorable and I'm a total sweetheart, but I've told him not to let that hammer wielding idiot Thor know or I'll never hear the end of it!
I’d be fine with any human who knows how to treat me with the respect due a member of the Norse Pantheon, and I could also take on a dog if they can be taught not to get up in my face. Other felines? Probably. I’ve been top-cat/god for a while now so we’d have to see. I’ll give it a go if they will.
Do you have space in your abode to set up a shrine to the trickster and master of mischief himself? Actually, I’d love that.
From Friends of Felines
Please could you offer a wonderful and loving foster or forever home to Loki?
Not long after coming to us, poor Loki suddenly got sick with kidney trouble. We don't know why; best guess from the vet is that he was born with it, and stress and neutering have brought it out. He's only 4 years old. At the moment we do not know how long he has left, whether it's months or years. With this in mind, a quite and calm home for Loki would be absolutely fantastic!
He doing ok at the moment, but he's going to need a nice safe space with caring people, fed on a special diet, maybe for life. If anyone could foster Loki it would really help his recovery, as he's not particularly keen on being in a pen.
We would provide all food and medicines for him. All he needs is some TLC to help him recover and live his best life for whatever time he has. He will be worth it - you can see from his videos that he's a really friendly little boy who just wants to be loved.
Many many thanks.

I got another chance!
Not every cat is so lucky.
Could you be another cat's forever human?
If you think you might be able to offer a cat a forever home, please fill out the adoption form and one of the Friends of Felines team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you so much,
Lots of love and nose boops,
x
