Ash
My story (so far...)
Ahlaan ya sadiqi! That's "Hello my friend" in Arabic. My name is Ash and I'm a year-old Arabian Mau who has come to England after being rescued from the streets of Dubai. It’s much better here, although I wish someone had told me about British weather – I’d have brought a sweater at least!
I came over with another Mau called Rowan and I’m by far the most confident and definitely the most vocal of us both. I do like to be formally introduced to new people, but give me five minutes after I’ve met you and we’ll be best friends. Having a Mau is more like having a dog – we can be quite physical cats and need quite a bit of attention, but we’ll love you forever once we settle down. You get the best of both worlds - loyalty and independence - and you'll have a buddy for life.
I have been around quite a few cats while at the centre and I get on ok with them. I haven't had much to do with dogs but I think I could deal with one, as I know how to stand my ground.
Do you have some space in your home for a cat who is basically a dog in disguise? If you do, I'd love to meet you and I’m sure we can be BFFs.
