Ernie

I've got a new home!

My name is Ernie and I have a new family who love me.

From the previous chapter of my story...

Hello to you - my name is Ernie. I'm a handsome 6 month-old tabby boy who, along with my brother Bert, is looking for what is probably our first forever home.

I say "probably" because we were both found on the streets of London where we had been abandoned, so although we had a home at one point early in our short lives, I'm not sure "forever" is the right term when you are kicked out to fend for yourselves after a few months. We did our best to look after each other, but life it wasn't easy. We were so small and everything was so big and so scary. Luckily for us though, a kind person found us, scooped us up, and got us into foster care. Living in a house again is MUCH nicer, thank you very much.

Since we had such a rough start, it did take us a little while to start trusting humans again, but our foster family has worked really hard with us and we have now completed bravery training 101. We've also learned to sit and give high-5s (see my video!), which we are well aware is adorable and we leverage it into getting treats at every available opportunity. Hey look - we had a tough time, so we deserve a few now and then don't you think?

At the moment we'd prefer to be around slightly older humans as we are not big fans of being grabbed or picked up without warning - although we are working on it. We are both good with other cats though, and although we don't have much experience with doggos, we've heard they are fine once you get to know them, so we are sure we could handle a nice kind one.

Oh yes, and we are already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, so we're all good to go.

Although we love our foster family, we would dearly love a forever home please, so could you consider us if you are looking for a couple of tabby tigers to complete your home?

I got another chance!

Not every cat is so lucky.

Could you be another cat's forever human?

If you think you might be able to offer a cat a forever home, please fill out the adoption form and one of the Friends of Felines team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you so much,

Lots of love and nose boops,

Ernie
